Bet’s B&B is the perfect base to explore Sydney. It’s close to public transport to the city – bus and lightrail – and conveniently located, just minutes from Annandale’s shops, cafés and restaurants.

Annandale is one of the closest suburbs to the city and one of the oldest. It‘s known for its vibrant atmosphere and residential diversity. Its wide tree-lined streets, lively shopping area and cosmopolitan character, give Annandale its friendly and quiet neighbourhood charm.

Yet, the city is so close. You can see the city skyline from Johnston Street and be there by bus or lightrail in 20 minutes. From the studio, it's a 10-minute walk to Rozelle Bay from where you can catch the lightrail to the city, view the luxury yacht marina, the majestic Anzac Bridge and the world-famous Sydney Harbour Bridge.

On Annandale‘s foreshore are 17 hectares of parkland, criss-crossed by walking, jogging or cycling paths. It‘s a wonderful, scenic stroll to Sydney’s popular Fish Markets. If you‘re feeling fit, you can even walk to Darling Harbour and into the city.

Every year, thousands of people flock to Annandale‘s harbour-side parks to view Sydney’s spectacular New Year’s Eve fireworks.

Annandale’s neighbouring suburbs include:

  • Newtown – Sydney’s bohemian heartland renowned for its restaurants, pubs and nightlife;
  • Glebe – a hot spot for good food and entertainment; and
  • Leichhardt – the ‘Little Italy’ of Sydney with its bustling strip of restaurants and cafés.
